Queen Elizabeth allegedly issued Meghan Markle an ultimatum while she was pregnant with Archie.

According to Globe, the queen urged Markle to toe the royal line or get out. And the ultimatum seemingly registered in Markle’s head that she eventually decided to quit The Firm alongside her husband, Prince Harry.

An unnamed source told the tabloid that the queen was fed up with Markle’s refusal to follow royal protocol. As such, the monarch allegedly urged Markle to stay out of the limelight until she learns how to act like a proper lady.

“Meghan is her own worst enemy. She’s thumbed her nose at royal rules since she wed Harry last May – and the queen’s frankly had enough! Her Majesty is furious over the latest debacles and has vowed Meghan crossed the line for the last time. She’s ordered the duchess to stay out of the public eye while she undergoes behavior modification and learns her place,” the source said.

The insider claimed that Markle initially agreed to follow the queen’s orders. And the Suits alum also tried to work out a peace treaty with Kate Middleton. But after just a few days, Markle allegedly ran away from her protection officers to talk to two royal fans during her trip to Morocco.

“Meghan was warned there must be no unscripted behavior because of security concerns. But she does what she wants. She put everyone in danger by suddenly sprinting off. Meghan also clung to Harry like a love-struck teen – too much cringe-worthy PDA for the palace!” the source said.

However, more than a year has passed and there is no confirmation that the claims made by the tabloid ever took place.

Markle has hinted at her difficulties as a royal, but she never said anything about running away from her protection officers. The queen never gave Prince Harry’s wife an ultimatum either.

Despite claims that the former Hollywood actress refuses to follow royal protocol, Markle seemingly tried to do her best as a member of the royal family.

But in the end, she reportedly felt unprotected by the institution that she was serving. And as for Prince Harry, he said that he doesn’t want his wife to experience what Princess Diana experienced before she passed away in a tragic car crash.

As such, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to quit The Firm earlier this year.
