On Nov. 3, Jungkook released his solo album 'GOLDEN'. The title track 'Standing Next to You' is a retro-funk genre piece that immediately drew attention with Jungkook's groovy vocals and charismatic performance upon its release.
The new album is proving to be another success for Jungkook. The title track entered at number 2 on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart and maintained its ranking for two consecutive days.
Previously, Jungkook set records with his first solo activity single 'Seven,' topping the Billboard 'Hot 100' and breaking Spotify's record for the fastest 1 billion streams. Following the hit 'Seven,' the reception of his first full album has solidified Jungkook's epithet as a 'Global Pop Star.'
Moreover, on the 6th (Korean time), Jungkook made history at the '2023 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA)' by winning both 'Best Song' and 'Best K-Pop' categories, becoming the first Korean solo artist to become a 'MTV EMA' double winner and proving his global popularity.
