The timeless pop icon, Madonna, known for her relentless efforts to stay forever youthful and prominent in the industry, was reportedly on the edge of a life-threatening situation due to a serious bacterial infection, industry sources have revealed.

The 64-year-old music legend, whose 2019 Madame X Tour didn't achieve the expected success, has been engaging in an intense regimen of 12-hour daily workouts and rehearsals for her upcoming tour. According to insiders, the pop diva has been involved in a grueling race against time, involving numerous plastic surgeries and ceaseless participation in New York's youthful nightlife to keep up with younger celebrities.

"Madonna is essentially putting her life on the line to maintain her relevance in an industry where younger stars like Taylor Swift and Pink are stealing the limelight," shares an insider from the music industry. "The cost of this pursuit seems to have resulted in the gravest possible consequences."

The iconic "Like a Virgin" singer spent several days in the ICU, undergoing intubation after doctors diagnosed an infection she had allegedly overlooked while preparing for her upcoming tour.

Medical professionals consulted by The National ENQUIRER suggest that the serious infection could be traced back to a hip replacement surgery the renowned pop star underwent in November 2021.

Dr. Gabe Mirkin, a Florida-based longevity expert, suggests, "There's a high probability that the blood infection originated from the hip replacement. Since the metal used in the procedure lacks immunity, it becomes highly prone to infection."

He further warns that such infections, if localized in a joint replacement, could travel to the brain, leading to severe damage, or even death if not treated immediately.

Moreover, Madonna's longstanding inclination towards cosmetic enhancements, according to Dr. Mirkin, may have heightened her susceptibility to infections. "She's publicly acknowledged undergoing multiple plastic surgeries, thereby increasing her infection risk. The combination could prove fatal," he observes.

The singer's documented affinity for a youthful lifestyle, including her relationships with significantly younger men, extensive nightlife, and a series of eccentric social media posts, might have also played a role in her health decline. "Madonna's admission of trying 'everything at least once' is adolescent behavior that can backfire when you're her age," Mirkin, who has not treated the singer, adds.
