Queen Camilla is reportedly indulging in a bit of schadenfreude as she observes the trials and tribulations of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, according to sources within the palace.

The Queen is said to be regularly tracking the Sussexes via Google news alerts, allegedly taking pleasure in any negative press they receive, particularly when it concerns Meghan Markle. "Every time something unfavorable about Meghan appears on her screen, she can't help but cheer," an insider disclosed.

Despite some in the palace, including Prince Charles, viewing this behavior as unnecessary and spiteful, the Queen allegedly relishes it.

The royal sources hint that the Queen showed specific delight upon hearing that Harry and Meghan's $20 million contract with Spotify had been canceled, resulting in a media backlash against the couple. One executive from the streaming service even went as far as to label them as "grifters."

"Camilla can hardly contain her satisfaction," a palace informant revealed. "She's spreading the word, 'This is the consequence of challenging the House of Windsor.'"

The only way to a truce, according to the insider, would be a public apology from the Sussexes — a scenario they claim is highly unlikely. It's said that Camilla’s stance mirrors that of Prince William, but she appears to derive far more satisfaction from their missteps.

Tensions between Camilla and the Sussexes escalated following the release of Prince Harry's memoir, "Spare," in which he accused Camilla of exploiting the media to bolster her image at his detriment.

Harry's portrayal of her as the "evil stepmother" and his pleas to his father not to marry her reportedly infuriated the Queen. The insider revealed, "Camilla was livid when she read Harry's book. It was the last straw for her."

The source stressed that the Queen had made a sincere effort to reach out to Meghan, inviting her for tea and horse-riding, and offering support and encouragement.

"However, where did it lead her?" the insider lamented. "Even though Harry was the one making the scathing remarks in the book, Camilla is convinced that Meghan was the puppeteer behind the scenes."

Queen Camilla, determined to hold onto her grudge despite Prince Charles opting for a softer approach, is unyielding in her stance.

"By relishing in their downturns, she's reinforcing her belief that the Sussexes are spoiled, entitled children who have brought this upon themselves," the source concluded. "She's a formidable adversary when provoked, and the Sussexes are learning that the hard way!"
