Jennifer Hudson, known for her robust vocals and star presence, is currently causing waves off-stage. As the curtain falls on the debut season of her talk show, she has reportedly embarked on a staff overhaul that insiders are fearing could be detrimental to the show's future.

Sources who spoke with The National ENQUIRER report that employees of "The Jennifer Hudson Show" are navigating a precarious atmosphere as the Oscar-winning actress orchestrates what's being labeled as a backstage purge.

This sweeping turnover reportedly includes several producers and at least one executive producer, even though the show has enjoyed favorable ratings. "The staff provided her with a strong foundation for her first TV show, and this is how she repays them?" remarks a taken aback source. "Their hard work and dedication are the reasons why she's getting a second season!"

The 41-year-old former "American Idol" contestant, who has appeared ill-at-ease in the host's chair on occasion, is allegedly discontent with the fact that most of her crew came from "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". Insiders claim she's supplanting them with her friends, irrespective of their expertise or lack thereof.

"Rather than bringing on board professionals with proven track records, she's opting for her friends," the source discloses. "Unfortunately, a number of them are novices in this field."

Among those deemed as questionable additions are her assistant, Walter Williams III, and her publicist, Lisa Kasteler, who are believed to have been appointed as executive producers. "Whoever is advising Jennifer is steering her wrong," the source scoffs. "Her insecurities are making her favor a friendly environment, but if she keeps pushing away those who contributed to her initial success, she could be paving her own path to failure!"
