According to a royal commentator, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are "breaking apart and leading separate lives," as the couple seems to be following different paths.

Celia Walden spoke to GB News about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and how their public duties seem to be causing them to lead somewhat separate lives. Walden explained, "She wants the attention kept firmly on her because that is where the attention should always be."

Walden also added that there are already murmurs about the couple's diverging agendas, stating, "They are both sort of leading slightly separate lives in terms of their public duties at the moment."

However, despite these claims, Harry and Meghan did take time for a public date night on Monday. While attending a basketball game in Los Angeles, Meghan appeared to avoid a kiss from Harry when the couple was shown on the big screen. The Duchess of Sussex laughed as Prince Harry made a comical face after his attempt. Instead of a kiss, Meghan held her husband's arm as the crowd clapped and cheered.

The couple enjoyed their date night watching the Los Angeles Lakers defeat the Memphis Grizzlies in game four of the playoffs.

Recently, it was announced that Prince Harry would attend King Charles's Coronation without Meghan. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. In a statement, Buckingham Palace confirmed, "The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."

The news of the couple's alleged separation in terms of their public lives comes amid ongoing speculation about their relationship since their decision to step back from royal duties and move to the United States.
