Lunden Roberts, the mother of Hunter Biden's daughter born outside of marriage, has informed an Arkansas court through her legal team that she will not consent to the first son's request for reduced child support payments.

In a motion filed on Tuesday, Roberts' lawyers stated that they are seeking continued payments of $20,000 per month to ensure that 4-year-old Navy Joan Roberts can "enjoy the same lifestyle and quality of life as her half-siblings and cousins who are members of the Biden family."

This filing follows a judge's criticism of Hunter's legal team for excessively redacting financial information in court documents on Monday. Roberts, 32, has accused the former lobbyist of concealing his finances while presenting himself as a "destitute" artist. Hunter, 53, who is currently under federal investigation for potential tax evasion and other crimes, is also contesting Roberts' efforts to change Navy's last name to Biden to reflect the prestige associated with the presidential family name.

Hunter has admitted to meeting Roberts when she worked as a dancer at a strip club and initially denied being Navy's father until a DNA test confirmed his paternity. According to Hunter Biden's legal team, he has provided Navy with $750,000 in support since acknowledging her as his child. However, Hunter has reportedly never met his daughter.

Hunter has four other children: one son with his current wife, Melissa Cohen, and three daughters with his ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle. President Biden has not met or acknowledged Navy and has consistently praised his six grandchildren born within marriage.

According to Gallup polling, while half of Americans in 2002 believed it was morally wrong to have a child outside of wedlock, by 2015, 61% of Americans considered it morally acceptable. In 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that two out of five American babies were born to unmarried parents.
