A royal expert claims that Meghan Markle was not interested in being part of the royal family but still took advantage of its benefits. Former BBC journalist and investigative reporter Tom Bower shared his views on Markle's attendance at King Charles' coronation during an appearance on "GB News" with Dan Wootton.

While Prince Harry is set to attend the coronation, Markle and their two children, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, will remain in California. Bower, the author of "Revenge," confessed that he did not expect either Prince Harry or Markle to attend and was taken aback by Prince Harry's solo appearance. However, he was not shocked by Markle's decision to skip the event.

Bower said, "Her presence, I thought was never likely because she doesn't want to be in Britain. She doesn't want to be part of the royal family. She's a Californian. She doesn't want to curtsy to the Queen. She never wants to curtsy to Kate or to Sophie that was very important."

He added that unless Markle was assured a prominent role, she would not participate in the event. Despite her alleged disinterest in the royal family, Bower, also the author of "Rebel King," accused Markle of exploiting the institution for personal gain. He stated, "She's milked the royal family for everything they can give her. She's got global recognition, which she didn't have before."

Bower acknowledged that young people and diverse communities admired Markle, but he suggested that the palace had made it clear they did not want her at the ceremony. "I think that the palace quite clearly decided they didn't want Meghan there, and they were putting conditions on her presence which they hoped she would refuse, and in that way, they've kept her out," he explained.

In a separate appearance on "GB News," Prince Harry's biographer, Angela Levin, author of "Harry: A Biography of a Prince," seemed to agree with Bower's opinion on Markle's alleged feelings toward the royal family. Levin claimed that Markle had changed Prince Harry and turned him against the things he once loved.

Levin said, "I think the whole lot is Meghan. He's been brainwashed, and he's been left out to dry. And I think he's taken on everything that she feels and not what he feels. I don't think he hates the family as much as Meghan hates it and wants him to hate it. He wants to please her."
