Royal biographer Robert Jobson believes that Prince William should "support" King Charles III in his desire to reconcile with Prince Harry during the upcoming coronation, despite any existing tension between the brothers. Jobson, author of the new book "Our King: Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed," spoke with GB News about the possibility of reconciliation during the coronation ceremony.

Host Camilla Tominey mentioned that Jobson's book indicates that King Charles is hopeful to mend his relationship with Prince Harry. Jobson said, "Harry acknowledges that in his books, so I think, yes, he will try to have conversations with Harry. I'm sure he will."

Prince Harry's relationship with the royal family has been strained since he and his wife Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020. The Duke of Sussex's recent memoir "Spare," Netflix docuseries "Harry & Meghan," and interviews have fueled speculation about whether he would attend his father's coronation on May 6. Buckingham Palace confirmed earlier this month that Prince Harry would attend the event without Meghan Markle.

When asked if Prince William might look "churlish" if he interferes with a potential reconciliation between his father and brother, Jobson responded, "That's between Harry and the King. It's clear that William is not very happy about it. But at the end of the day, he is sworn to the King, and if the King wants it, he should just get on with it. Make the King's life as easy as possible."

Jobson added, "William will get his time. He will get his moment. [But] at this moment in time, he's the heir. Well, support your father, and if your father wants you to try to build bridges, build bridges."

However, some royal fans and social media users disagreed with Jobson and sided with Prince William. One person commented, "William is correct. Harry and his wife represent a definite danger to the monarchy and it needs to be taken seriously."

Others criticized the expectation that Prince William should be the one to make concessions, arguing that it is unfair to place the burden on him. Lady Victoria Hervey previously commented on the relationship between King Charles' sons, suggesting that Prince Harry is sabotaging his relationship with Prince William, likening it to a "blood sport."
