Speaking to Page Six, Zanotti confirmed that Williams, who was recently seen filming an undisclosed project in New York City, is set to return to the spotlight. However, Zanotti emphasized that the project in question is "definitely not a reality show."

Zanotti stated on Friday, "After taking a long break, Wendy feels some of the best days of her life were in media. She has been in media since her early 20s and wants to return to what she loves." The representative also mentioned that returning to her roots in media is important to Williams, adding, "Yes, Wendy is filming...Yes, she is gearing up for something and the specifics of that can't be disclosed as of yet."

This statement follows a previous update from Zanotti to Page Six, indicating that Williams has been working on "several projects" since leaving "The Wendy Williams Show" last year due to health concerns. While the representative did not elaborate on these projects, they did mention that Williams' podcast is still "in the works."

Two months ago, Williams was seen arriving at a restaurant accompanied by a nearly 30-person camera crew. An eyewitness told Page Six at the time, "She had a huge crew that basically turned Fresco by Scotto into a movie set. Approximately 30 people in the crew. Lights, cameras, audio, producers, etc. [It] looked like a reality show."

In June 2022, Williams told TMZ that she was "100% retired from 'The Wendy Williams Show'" and expressed her desire to step away from television. However, she left the door open for potential guest appearances on talk shows such as "The View."

Williams also announced her plans to launch her own podcast after retiring from hosting TV shows. She explained, "I've got enough money to do something else and what I've never done — podcasts. When you're famous, podcasts will make more money. For me, being famous, [it will make more money] than doing the 'Wendy Williams Show.'"
