Wendy Williams' close friends are growing increasingly concerned about the new people she has been associating with recently. A source informed Page Six, "Wendy does not have many real friends, but the few that are coming around are causing some concern for the people that do truly care about her."

The source also expressed concerns about security, as Williams reportedly has valuables such as jewelry and designer purses lying around her home. This comes amid recent confirmation from Page Six that the TV personality is selling off her personal belongings in her New York City penthouse.

"The real concern is when she has people over her house. Wendy is not in the best state of mind, so unfortunately people will take advantage of that," the insider shared.

Last year, Williams spent two months in rehab for treatment after relapsing from alcohol and dealing with other health issues. Her representative recently informed Page Six that she is consuming alcohol again to celebrate her "new lease on life."

Regarding her recent night out, her rep stated, "She is happy and wanted to celebrate as she has a new lease on life."

In March, Williams was spotted drinking at Fresco by Scotto in Manhattan and then at the gay bar the Townhouse. Page Six exclusively reported that a "lonely" Williams appeared to be drinking at the famous eatery, overheard telling her group that she intended to "get drunk."

As Page Six also confirmed, the former TV host plans to relocate to Los Angeles and is currently clearing out her penthouse. Her representative explained, "Wendy is getting rid of items for spring cleaning, this is what people do this time of year. It's a new chapter for Wendy, and she wants new things."

However, an insider insisted that her loneliness combined with her significant wealth is not a good mix. "Everyone is not coming to the table with good intentions. Back in the day, this many people would have never been around her, much less coming over to her home," they said.

In 2022, Page Six reported that Williams had entered rehab for substance abuse issues. After nearly two months of treatment, she returned home, claiming to feel "better than ever." According to her rep, she currently has several projects in progress, including a podcast and a potential new series.
