In an Arkansas paternity case, Circuit Judge Holly Meyer has determined that Hunter Biden's financial records will not be disclosed to the public. Hunter, son of President Joe Biden, has petitioned the court to reduce his child support payments. He claims there have been significant changes in his financial situation, which has prompted the court's decision to keep his financial records confidential.

Judge Meyer's ruling specifies that only the attorneys involved in the case and any expert witnesses called to testify will be granted access to Hunter Biden's financial records. The judge acknowledged the political interest in Biden's finances, which could potentially reveal information about the purchasers of his artwork and the amounts they paid.

Meyer emphasized that despite the high-profile nature of the case, it primarily revolves around child support. The court has treated and will continue to treat the involved parties as it would any other members of the judicial district.

The paternity case was reopened in September last year when Hunter Biden requested a reduction in child support payments to Lunden Roberts, the mother of his 4-year-old daughter, Navy Joan Roberts. Hunter Biden cited a "substantial material change" in his financial circumstances as the reason for his request to lower the payments to Roberts. However, the exact amount he has been paying has not been disclosed in the court filings.

In January, Lunden Roberts filed a motion to change her daughter's last name to Biden. She argued that it would improve her daughter's life, as the Biden name is now associated with being well-educated, successful, financially savvy, and politically powerful. However, Hunter Biden disagreed with this motion, stating that it would not be an appropriate time for his daughter to adopt the presidential surname.

Hunter Biden suggested that his daughter should be allowed to decide for herself whether to take the Biden name when the disparagement of the family name is no longer at its peak. This comes in the wake of various controversies surrounding Hunter Biden, such as his foreign business deals, struggles with alcohol and crack cocaine addiction, and leaked photos involving a gun and a prostitute.

Attorneys for both Lunden Roberts and Hunter Biden have not responded to requests for comment on the case. As the legal proceedings continue, the judge's decision to maintain confidentiality for Hunter Biden's financial records aims to ensure a fair and unbiased resolution to the child support dispute.
