Maisie Williams and Reuben Selby have broken up after being together for five years.

On Thursday, the 25-year-old actress took to her Instagram Story to announce the split, beginning the piece with “the end of an era” alongside a broken heart emoji.

The post also comes with a photo, showing Williams and Selby as they took the snap in what appears to be a mirror selfie.

The “Game of Thrones” alum noted in the text that she and her former partner “decided to end our relationship,” before saying, “Since we met 5 years ago, our connection always extended deeply into our shared, and separate, creative careers... and it will continue to do so."

Maisie Williams continued in the same post that the decision to split “is something we are so grateful for so as we can protect the magic, that we can’t help but emit, whenever we put our brains together.”

In the end, the “New Mutants” actress seemingly urged everyone not to ask any more questions about the matter, saying, “p.s no further questions, please,” before adding, “we must protect our children (my dog).”

In its report, covering William’s announcement, People said Reuben Selby shared his former partner’s post to his own Instagram Story and added a red heart emoji.

In a follow-up post on the same platform, he posted a photo of himself and the actress in cohesive Christian Dior outfits with a text that read, “Please don’t be sad for us - just appreciate the fits,” as per the magazine.

Maisie Williams and Reuben Selby rarely discussed their relationship before the public. While she, at times, shared posts about him on social media, it is said that the last time he appeared on her feed was in May, when she paid him a heartfelt tribute for his birthday.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight said in a similar report, published Friday, that there were split speculations among fans on social media. As noted, it came after many noticed they were vacationing separately.

It is unclear when or how Reuben Selby and Maisie Williams first met. But, Us Weekly says in a report that they went public with their relationship after he posted a photo of them together on social media in March 2019, making them official on Instagram.

That June, the “Owners” actress and her then-boyfriend attended her “Game of Thrones” co-star Sophie Turner's wedding to Joe Jonas in France, as per the publication.
