A source is sharing an insight into the move Rihanna did when she revealed her second pregnancy with A$AP Rocky during her halftime show performance.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the insider discussed why the 34-year-old songstress saved her announcement for the Super Bowl halftime show. As stated, she “wanted to display a message of empowerment,” leading to her decision.

It is noted that the Fenty Beauty founder also wanted “to show that you can balance it all and make your dreams come true,” with the source adding that “she feels so confident and appreciative in this moment.”

The “What’s My Name” singer reportedly knows, as well, that the halftime show “was a performance to remember and that is what she wanted.”

The same insider subsequently told the outlet, “She loves that the performance also acted as such an exciting announcement for her and her family.”

It comes as Rihanna surprised the public when she unveiled her baby bump during her halftime show performance on Sunday.

Following the surprising reveal, Us Weekly learned from a source that the “Battleship” actress is pregnant with her second child with the “Fashion Killa” artist less than a year after welcoming their first child together.

In its report, the publication also noted that a rep for the songstress confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter.

Later on Sunday, People reported that Rihanna had seemingly hinted at her big reveal ahead of her halftime show performance.

Citing the exchange the “Umbrella” singer had with CBS Sports, the magazine recalled her teasing that she was “thinking about bringing someone” out during the show.

However, she is said to have managed to give the assumption that she had a guest performer in her halftime show performance.

The outlet later shared what it learned from a source who was present at the press conference on Friday. As claimed, “Nobody knew” about the pregnancy, with the insider saying, “She totally hid it,” before taking the stage.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky officially became parents after welcoming their first child in May 2022. It came months after she debuted her baby bump before the public and revealed her first pregnancy with the rapper.

ET shared elsewhere in its report, published Sunday, that the source later talked about what the “Take Care” singer supposedly felt about her halftime show performance.

It is claimed that the songstress is “thrilled” with how it went. But, while there were “changes and tweaks up until the end,” the same insider noted that “she feels happy with her choices and the final result.”
