Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could allegedly be forced to name the royal racist they mentioned during their interview with Oprah Winfrey two years ago.

In its Feb. 20 issue, New Idea claimed that Prince William will be watching keenly when Prince Harry and Markle try to identify the person that they were referring to in their interview. After all, the Prince of Wales is allegedly convinced that the Sussexes just made this up.

“At the time, William was so close to launching legal action. Harry and Meghan basically made the world question who the so-called royal racist is, which has been very damaging. But the queen talked him out of it,” the source said.

The source also said that since Prince William and Prince Harry are still on good terms, the former could even be the one to file a lawsuit against the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“You have to wonder if Harry’s team suspects William has a case and thought it best for Harry to amend the record. Especially with this Sam Markle case looming. You’d think William will be keeping an eye on this possible deposition, given he is still furious at Harry,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Prince Harry and Markle wouldn’t be called to the stand to reveal the name of the racist royal that they were referring to in their interview with Winfrey.

This is an unlikely situation because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will just revisit old wounds. Prince Harry also made it clear that he will never reveal the name of the person that they were referring to no matter what happens.

Two years later, he said during an interview while promoting his memoir Spare that he never called anyone racist. He also said that no one from the family was ever racist toward his wife or children. Rather, it was the media who used the term.

What is only known is that Markle’s half-sister wants to take legal action against Prince Harry and Markle. But whether or not the couple will be deposed someday is what royal fans need to watch out for. For now, no case has been filed against the couple.
