The former house DJ of “The Ellen Show,” Stephen “tWitch” Boss, has passed away. He was 40.

The personality’s wife, Allison Holker Boss, with whom he tied the knot in December 2013, confirmed the matter in a statement issued to People. She began, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us.”

The magazine quoted the rest of the statement in a recent report, writing, “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans."

It continues, “To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt.”

Stephen “tWitch” Boss’s wife also noted in the same statement to People that she is “certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we don’t honor his memory.”

In the near end, Allison said they “ask for privacy during this difficult time” for herself, and especially for their children.

In the same report published Wednesday, the magazine shared that the former “Ellen Show” DJ’s wife closed her statement with a message for him, saying, “Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”

People also said that per the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, his passing remains pending additional investigation.

TMZ was the first to report the news earlier on Wednesday.

In its report, the publication recalled that Stephen “tWitch” Boss and Allison Holker Boss met when they competed on the all-star season of “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2010.

The two personalities tied the knot on December 10, 2013, and reports noted that they recently celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary. As added, they share three children, with the youngest being three.

CNN recalls in a recent report that Stephen “tWitch” Boss was a runner-up on “Star Search” and a semifinalist on MTV’s “The Wade Robson Project” in 2003.

But, it is said that it was the personality’s participation, and ending up as a runner up, on “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2008 that marked the beginning of his career in the entertainment industry.

The publication continued that Boss began his stint on “The Ellen Show” when Ellen DeGeneres brought him on as the house DJ in 2014. He held the post until the conclusion of the show earlier this year and even became a co-executive producer starting in 2020.
