Blake Shelton is hinting at a potential return to “The Voice” in the future.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 46-year-old country star shared his thoughts about his upcoming exit from “The Voice” following the conclusion of his and Gwen Stefani's final season together on the show. He also talked about the possibility of his return to the reality competition series as a celebrity mentor, especially on his wife's team.

Shelton told the publication that he would “be honored to be Gwen’s mentor.” He also noted that he would do anything his wife says, asserting, “Whatever she tells me to do, I’m gonna do.”

Earlier in the exchange, the “God’s Country” singer revealed what he did following the end of the 22nd season of “The Voice.” He stated that he went to Gwen Stefani’s chair “after the cameras went off” and shared that his wife was “literally sobbing,” adding, “She was like, ‘This is our last time that we’re going to do this together.’”

Blake Shelton noted, though, that he hopes Season 22 will not be the “Cool” singer’s last stint as a coach on the show. He told the publication that he “would hope not for the sake of the show.”

Even so, the country artist pointed out that “it will be the last time she and I do this together, and it is crazy to think of how the show changed my life.” He added that he “was so wrapped up in this that I didn’t even think about that…”

Blake Shelton will return as a coach in the next season of “The Voice” in 2023. But, it will mark his final time on the series as he will leave his post after its conclusion.

The “Red River Blue” artist announced his decision to “step away” from the reality competition show after its 23rd season earlier in October.

At the time, Us Weekly said that the singer shared in an official NBC press release, “I’ve been wrestling with this for a while and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from ‘The Voice’ after Season 23.”

Elsewhere in the exchange with ET, published Tuesday, Blake Shelton shared an insight into his and Gwen Stefani’s upcoming holiday celebrations. He stated that “it’s just gonna be a tour,” with the outlet pointing out that it was what he said of navigating the season with his blended family.

The country star continued, “Just having Christmases with the family is a tour within itself…,” adding, “It’s gonna be crazy, but it’s literally our favorite time of year, so we’re excited.”
