James Corden recently apologized after he was criticized for his behavior at a restaurant.

Last month, reports revealed that Corden lashed out at the restaurant staff after they served his wife egg whites. The talk show host later explained in his statement that his wife was allergic to egg whites that’s why he became enraged.

The Late Late Show With James Corden host also apologized for his behavior. But now there are claims that he wouldn’t have issued an apology if he wasn’t outed by the restaurant owner.

“He only did it because he knew he had been exposed again, and if he didn’t seem publicly contrite he would have been fully canceled in the public eye and the industry,” the source told National Enquirer

The source added that Corden doesn’t really care how he made the staffers at the restaurant feel since he was just trying to save his image.

“But now people know how he really is and that his apologies are worthless,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Corden didn’t mean his apology. And it’s not also true that he just apologized to save his public image.

These claims were obviously made as an attack on the comedian. But it has not been proven to be accurate.

In his apology, Corden also explained why he reacted the way he did. And his reason seemed valid. The host became upset after telling the staff that his wife was allergic to egg whites because they didn’t seem to listen.

However, it’s also true that he should’ve handled the situation with grace and class.

“I didn’t shout or scream. I didn’t get up from my seat. I didn’t call anyone names or use derogatory language. I have been walking around thinking that I hadn’t done anything wrong, right? But the truth is I have. I made a rude comment and it was wrong. It was an unnecessary comment. It was ungracious to the server,” he said (via Variety).

According to Corden he and the restaurant owner also had a private conversation. And he apologized if he upset him or any other staffer for that matter.

The restaurant owner also agreed to lift his ban on Corden following the incident.
