Prince Harry and Prince William allegedly “always had to” go through an aide before they could reach King Charles III during their younger years. A royal expert reportedly believes this likely caused frustrations on the royal siblings’ part as they could not get a hold of their father.

Express UK reported that Katie Nicholl shared the matter during an engagement with “Palace Confidential.” She is said to have revealed that one of the now-British Monarch’s aides told her about it with a story, noting that the narrative occurred “quite a few years ago when they were younger.”

The royal author reportedly stated that, as per her source, one of the two royal-born Princes was “trying to reach” the then-Prince of Wales, adding that the then-young royal “wanted to get a hold of him.”

However, it is claimed that King Charles III “did not carry a mobile phone around” as “he could not bear the things.” Accordingly, when Prince Harry or Prince William “wanted to check something” with him, Nicholl said “it always had to be through an aide,” as per the publication.

This reportedly led the royal author to theorize that it is likely “there were times when they got a bit frustrated by not being able to reach him,” adding that the now-King of the United Kingdom “worked round the clock,” as well.

In the same report, Express UK recalled a claim from last year, with a source alleging that the relationship between King Charles III and his two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, was “complicated.”

In March 2021, a palace source told People that the Duke of Sussex and the now-Prince of Wales have always had a “complicated relationship” with their father as “it’s not a straightforward father-son relationship.” As added, the new British Monarch is both “their father and their boss,” noting that “they are beholden to him to fund their offices and lives.”

A separate source seemingly echoed the assertion, telling the magazine at the time that the “tension” between the then-Heir Apparent and his two sons “has always surrounded money.” As claimed, it is “because Charles is the one who holds all the power.”

Despite the alleged tension in the relationship between King Charles III and his two sons, especially during their younger years, some reports believe that things have improved these days.

Insider said that the new British Monarch seemingly showed how “close” he is with Prince William today when he gave his first address as the new King.

As for his relationship with Prince Harry, the publication shared that signs were hinting at how the two royal-born Princes were “mending” their ties, adding that Queen Elizabeth II’s passing likely brought them back together.
