Prince William and Kate Middleton continue to carry out their duties as the new Prince and Princess of Wales. Following their first trip to Wales with their new titles last week, they arrived in Northern Ireland for a surprise visit on Thursday.

People said that the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge are in the country for a one-day trip. As noted, it marks their first visit since Queen Elizabeth II’s passing and receiving their new titles from King Charles III earlier this month.

The working royals, who are in line to become the King and Queen Consort, are reportedly in Northern Ireland to visit cross-community organizations. They are also said to have begun their trip in Belfast for an engagement with PIPS Suicide Prevention Ireland (PIPS Charity).

The magazine continued that Prince William and Kate Middleton spoke to counselors and staff over at PIPS and discussed the charity’s life-saving work on a daily basis. As added, the conversations also included how the organization moves to remove barriers to support individuals with suicidal thoughts.

The newly created Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly met with people, whom PIPS has supported, as well, during the engagement earlier on Thursday. It is noted that the clients would share their personal challenges and how the charity is helping to overcome these things.

Later in the visit to PIPS, the royal couple also joined volunteer counselors in preparing the charity’s care packages called “Little Boxes of Hope,” per the publication.

It explained that the organization gives the “boxes” to children following their time with the charity to ensure that their parents and guardians feel better equipped in helping them. Also, the care packages are said to be additional tools to aid them in their recovery.

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s official Twitter account announced their arrival in the U.K. constituent country earlier on Thursday.

Express UK, in its report covering the visit, quoted the post, writing, “It’s wonderful to be back in Northern Ireland today!”

The publication also shared what the Prince and Princess of Wales have donned for the one-day trip to the country.

As noted, Kate Middleton wore a baby blue blouse and paired it with black trousers. She also reportedly has a matching light coat and accessorized the look with pumps and a clutch bag.

Meanwhile, the outlet said that Prince William “looked dapper” in his ensemble. As stated, he sported a relaxed jacket, a blue jumper, and a buttoned-up shirt for the outing.
