Prince William, reportedly, shared a special relationship with Kate Middleton’s mom, Carole Middleton.

In the documentary William and Harry: Brothers In Arms, royal correspondent Ashley Pearson said that Prince William was infatuated with both his wife and Middleton’s family.

After all, one of the reasons that Prince William fell in love with Middleton is because of her closeness to her parents and siblings. And when Prince William realized that he’s in love with Middleton, he also realized that he’s equally in love with his family, particularly Carole.

Prince William lost his mother, Princess Diana when he was just 15 years old. He grew up without a mother figure in his life. When he met Carole, the latter served as both his mom and mother-in-law.

There were times when Prince William would, reportedly, lie on the sofa with head in Carole’s lap. Prince William also, reportedly, had a blast hanging out with the Middletons because this is where he gets to experience what it’s like to be normal.

A source said that Middleton’s parents became Prince William’s second parents. And Carole was very similar to Princess Diana so Prince William was drawn to her.

However, Prince William and Carole’s close relationship did not sit well with Prince Charles. After all, the heir to the throne felt that it was Carole who was taking all the shots.

Since Prince William enjoyed hanging out with his in-laws, his children also spent more time with Michael and Carole than Prince Charles and Camilla.

Years ago, Prince Charles, reportedly, complained about not being able to see Prince George and Princess Charlotte. And when Carole heard this, she, reportedly, started distancing herself from the royal family. After all, she didn’t want to be butt heads with Prince Charles.

At present, Michael and Carole are still living in their house in Berkshire. And every now and then, Prince William, Middleton, and their kids visit them there.

But throughout the past two and a half months, the Cambridges haven’t been able to visit the Middleton family because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Prince William, Middleton, and their children are self-isolating at Anmer Hall at the moment.

The royal couple has also decided to continue homeschooling their kids during the upcoming school year. After all, the threats of the coronavirus outbreak haven’t been completely addressed.
