Ashley Judd and Wynonna Judd are allegedly going head to head over their late mom Naomi Judd’s $25 million fortune.

According to Star, the sisters were both shocked when they found out that their mom left her estate to her husband of 33 years, Larry Strickland.

But a source said that the mother’s relationship with her two daughters has always been estranged.

“It’s no secret Naomi’s relationship with the girls was fraught over the years. But cutting them out of the will was a final slap in the face. Ashley and Wynonna have famously disagreed over the years and the fear is that instead of Naomi’s death bringing them closer, it might tear them further apart. They’ve been at each other’s throats,” the source said.

The source claimed that Wynonna feels that Ashley should’ve been the only one cut out of their mom’s will. After all, Naomi and Wynonna were the ones that brought Ashley to fame. And there’s also no discounting the fact that Wynonna is the more talented one of the sisters.

“They had their successful music career and everyone in Nashville knew Wynonna was the more talented member of the Judds. There are music rights and future royalties to consider, things like that,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Wynonna and Ashley had very different relationships with their mom. So, it was kind of twisted that Naomi unknowingly pitted her daughters against each other because of her will.

“Ashley and Wynonna both know their mother wasn’t great with her finances, she hated saving and was clueless about taxes. Larry handled all that financial stuff and Ashley and Wynona assumed he had set up trusts for them well before her death,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Ashley and Wynonna are fighting over their mom’s last will and testament. What’s more accurate is that the sisters are questioning why their mom left her estate with Strickland and not with them.

It’s unclear what happened to the Judd family when Naomi was still alive. But regardless of what it is, matters pertaining to a deceased person’s will are considered private and they should remain as such.

So, the tabloid can speculate all they want but only the Judds know what’s really been going on.
