Ezra Miller broke his silence to apologize and acknowledge the controversies.

The actor, who uses they/them pronouns, said in a statement to People via their rep that they now understand that they are “suffering complex mental health issues,” in consideration of going through “a time of intense crisis” recently. They also shared that they “have begun ongoing treatment.”

In the same statement, the 29-year-old celebrity noted that they “want to apologize” to those they “have alarmed and upset” with their “past behavior.”

The magazine later quoted the “Justice League” star, saying, “I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”

Ezra Miller’s official statement comes months after they were arrested after an alleged incident in Hawaii.

The “Flash” actor reportedly got upset after they were asked to leave at a private residence in Puna. It was added that they threw a chair, “striking a 26-year-old female on the forehead,” according to E! News.

But, the April incident was not Miller’s first as they were arrested three weeks earlier on the same island. They were charged with harassment and disorderly conduct, with authorities claiming they became “agitated” when other guests at a bar started singing karaoke.

The following day, a couple from Hilo filed a (later-dropped) temporary restraining order against Ezra Miller. They contended that the actor had burst into their bedroom, taken a wallet and passport from one of them, and threatened to kill them, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The “Fantastic Beast” actor has since faced numerous accusations and controversies, including requests for a protective order against them.

The publication recalled that parents of an 18-year-old made a request on behalf of their child earlier in June. As reported, the pair contended that their offspring was “introduced to illicit drugs,” “dropped out of a private school,” and “was flown around the world” under the celebrity’s influence, during which time their child was 12 and the actor was 23.

On a separate account, a mother of a 12-year-old is said to have requested a protective order on behalf of her child against Ezra Miller. A judge granted the request in mid-June, reportedly noting that “there is a substantial likelihood of immediate danger of harassment.”

As per the same publication, the “Perks of Being A Wallflower” actor was most recently involved in an alleged incident earlier this month.

It is shared that authorities charged Miller with felony burglary in Vermont after allegedly breaking into an unoccupied home in May.
