Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stopped by the United Kingdom on their way to The Hague. The former working royals met with Queen Elizabeth II before going to the Invictus Games.

Reports of reconciliation between the Sussex pair and the rest of the British Royal Family have since become apparent. But, a royal expert asserted that the visit is not necessarily a good sign, according to Cheat Sheet.

As noted, Angela Levin made the claims during an engagement with “Good Morning Britain” host Adil Ray. When asked whether the meeting was a “good thing,” she responded she was not convinced, adding that there is a need to be “very careful not to jump to conclusions.”

The royal expert explained that publicity may have played a role in the recent series of events. She stated that Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles “have missed [Meghan Markle and Prince Harry] hugely, and therefore, they could wrap them around their little fingers and use them for commercial use as they have done before.”

Levin, then, pointed out that it all comes down to a recent event, particularly the Service of Thanksgiving for the late Prince Philip, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were absent. She said that it all has something to do with the pair “not turning up” at the memorial service and “finding out what the reaction to that was.”

The meeting with Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor reportedly took place on Thursday. Details of the secret event have since remained scarce, and another royal expert believes that not much about it would be made public.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Katie Nicholl stated that the engagement with the British Monarch, “it was just the Queen, Meghan [Markle], and [Prince] Harry,” and very few details have been leaked before the public. She, then, added that it is likely “going to stay quite watertight.”

The expert consequently explained that it comes down to “trust,” and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “have to prove that they can be trusted now,” considering that they are back in touch with the British Royals. Accordingly, if the details were to come to light, the royal-born Prince “would be in a very difficult position.”

Despite the scarcity of information about the meeting, Prince Harry, alongside Meghan Markle, shed some light into what took place. He told BBC One reporters at the Invictus Games that “it was great to see [the Queen],” adding that “she would love to be [at the event] if she could,” according to Us Weekly.

The Duke of Sussex, also, stated that the British Monarch had “plenty of messages for Team U.K., which [he has] already passed on to most of them.”
