Meghan Markle continues to face criticisms from royal fans and watchers following the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games on Saturday. This comes after she introduced Prince Harry with his royal titles, “Prince” and the “Duke of Sussex,” even though he previously urged the public not to call him that.

Express UK released a report on the matter, detailing what the critics had to say. As noted, most of the comments were made on social media platforms in the last few days.

One netizen shared that “Prince Harry will suffice.” But, given that the Duchess of Sussex mentioned all the other royal titles, it is asserted that “she is obsessed” with the peerages.

Another royal watcher reacted with fury toward the introduction, saying, “thought it was ‘just Harry.’” A different critic, then, stated that the former working royals “found out that ‘Just call me Harry’ does not sell.”

The waves of backlash continued on the platform, with others stating that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s “worth decreases” without their titles. “Their corporate bosses know it,” one added.

Some netizens, also, pointed out that they would probably have said “my husband, Harry,” instead during the introduction. “But, then, maybe that’s what she calls him at home,” a different user quipped.

Another critic noticed, as well, that the Duchess of Sussex’s introduction was filled with praises only for the Duke of Sussex. There was “not a word about the wounded veterans.”

The talks and negative comments about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry regarding the introduction at the Invictus Games came two years after the royal-born Prince emphasized that people should call him “just Harry.” Glamour said at the time that he was letting go of not only his HRH title and the word “royal,” but he, also, wanted to drop the word, “prince,” in his name.

It all took place during the Duke of Sussex's first event back in the United Kingdom following his and the Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell exit from the British Monarchy. He attended the Travalyst sustainable tourism summit in Edinburgh, where he was introduced as “Harry.”

The host shared that the youngest Wales prince “made it clear that we are all just to call him Harry.” She, then, asked the audience to “please give a big, warm Scottish welcome to Harry.”

As the Invictus Games continues its course, several reports have emerged about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. On Monday, the public even learned about the visit the latter did to Queen Elizabeth II late last week.

The International News said that the report first came from The Sun. As noted, the Duke of Sussex was the one who broke his silence about the “secret meeting” with the British Monarch.
