Hailey Bieber recently revealed why she decided to slow down her career in runway modeling. While she did not dwell on the details, she recalled the reason behind the move.

Cheat Sheet reported that the 25-year-old celebrity spoke to Allure for its May issue. She talked about several things about herself, her beauty brand, Rhode, as well as her current activities.

With regard to her profession as a runway model, Bieber shared that she had a “really bad experience with a casting director,” who she deemed “very important.” She noted that this person “said something to [her] agent that just shook [her] confidence” toward the runway.

The model, who is a wife to Justin Bieber, continued that she does not want to “feel bad” about herself in this particular arena because she “feels really good about the other work” that she does. She consequently rhetorically asks, “so, why would I even put myself in a position to feel small?”

Insider released a similar report about the matter. Although it made a request for comment, representatives for Hailey Bieber did not reportedly immediately respond.

Nevertheless, the publication stated that the television personality still models in recent years. She has appeared in several campaigns for brands, such as Victoria’s Secret, Jimmy Choo, and Levi’s.

Elsewhere in the Allure engagement, Hailey Bieber talked about her views, as well, on tackling fame, according to Geo News. As reported, she got “candid” about her ways of handling popularity, including how she deals with media scrutiny and speculation.

The Rhode Beauty founder told the outlet that “it would be exhausting for [her] to try to control everything.” She added that there is “no way [she] can do that.”

In addition, the celebrity pointed out that it is “very hard to control a media narrative.” Accordingly, she tries to do her “best to be [herself] and accept” it all.

The interview with Allure comes days after Hailey Bieber shut down the then-ongoing pregnancy speculations about her. She appeared to have seen comments on media platforms, discussing how she tried to hide a potential “baby bump” under her gown at the Grammys.

CNN reported that the 25-year-old model took her response to Instagram upon learning about the talks and rumors. She said, “I’m not pregnant,” before adding, “leave me alone.”

Bieber attended the 64th Annual Grammy Awards on April 4, alongside her husband, Justin Bieber. The artist had eight nominations that night.
