Kate Middleton and Sophie, Countess of Wessex have more duties and responsibilities these days so they have been leaning on each other for help and support.

In its April 18 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Middleton and Sophie found an unlikely ally in each other, and they couldn’t be more thrilled.

A source claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge has also been giving Sophie and Prince Edward advice on how to go about their royal tour on April 22. The Wessex will visit Antigua, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

“Kate has had a few quiet words on how to approach the tour. Kate knows the family can’t withstand another wave of bad headlines. And on a more personal note, she’d hate Sophie to go through all the bad press she’s experiencing at the moment,” the source said.

The insider claimed that the two female royals have also been spending a lot of time with each other. And Sophie wants to make sure that she and her husband wouldn’t commit the same mistakes that the Cambridges had during their tour of the Caribbean.

“They’re taking a very hands-on approach together, going through all of Sophie and Edward’s planned engagements and even making sure Sophie’s wardrobe is just right,” the source said.

The insider added that Sophie is so grateful to Middleton for all her help and support.

“She’s so grateful that Kate, rather than retreating to lick her wounds, is keeping her head held high and stepping in. With the family’s honor on the line with the upcoming tour, Sophie is said to be desperate to get things right,” the source said.

While it is true that Middleton and Sophie have been supporting each other, this didn’t just happen because of the former’s tour of the Caribbean. The two female royals have been supporting and helping each other for years.

And while it is possible for the Duchess of Cambridge to be giving Sophie tips ahead of the latter’s upcoming tour, there’s no indication that Sophie and Prince Edward are worried.

There’s also no proof that the Wessexes are determined to avoid the same mistakes that the Cambridges committed because this is not the royal family’s mindset when they go on tour. It just so happened that Prince William and Middleton committed a grave error when they set foot in the Caribbean.
