Donald Trump recently shared his disappointments over this year's Academy Award. On Thursday, the US President rhetorically asked his audience in Colorado Springs, Colorado how "bad" the Academy Awards were for hailing "a movie from South Korea" as its Best Picture.

He then asked, "what the hell was that all about?", which was followed by an explanation that the United States has got "enough problems" with the South Korean trade.

Upon sharing his thoughts about the film's recent achievement, it seemingly appeared that he was not able to watch it yet. But, despite not being able to witness what the film has to offer, he just shut off the idea of it winning a major award because it is from South Korea.

According to CNN, Parasite was the "first foreign film" to win the Best Picture award from the Academy Award. Aside from this, it also bagged several major awards including the Best Director, Best International Film, and Best Original Screenplay.

However, Donald Trump looked more "interested" in American films. He reportedly shared as well in his speech that he was "looking for, like"  Gone With The Wind. There were a lot of "great movies" from the past, he added.

Alongside Gone With The Wind, he also mentioned Sunset Boulevard. The President then wondered if these films can get back from the past given that he seemed to love these movies more than Parasite.

After Donald Trump shared his dismay over the awards, The Guardian reported that the President received several responses from the public. Some of these responses even include the US and UK distributors of Parasite.

Neon, the US distributor of the said film shared in their Twitter account that it's "understandable" why President Trump did not like the film. They then "shaded" him by saying that this is because "he can't read."

While the shade thrown by the company was apparent, Parasite's UK distributor, Curzon blatantly commented that Donald Trump's thoughts on the film are a "clear racist dog whistle." Because of this, they do not believe that this warrants a debate toward the film's achievement.

In a similar report released earlier this week, Donald Trump also shared his dislike toward Brad Pitt after hearing the actor's speech for winning the Best Supporting Actor award. The President stated that he was "never" a "big fan" of the actor. He then described Brad's speech as a "little wise-guy statement."

As revealed, Brad Pitt "joked" in his acceptance speech about John Bolton's absence from Trump's impeachment trial, and how the Senate decided against his presence during the trial. He said that he was given 45 seconds to do his acceptance speech, which is "45 seconds more" what the Senate gave John Bolton.
