Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have allegedly been dubbed as fringe royals and they are at risk of being evicted from their royal residence.

According to Woman’s Day, since the royal siblings are considered minor or fringe royals, they are in no position to be living in the royal palaces.

A source told the tabloid that the royal palaces are also running at a huge loss because they’re closed to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic. As such, the palaces are hemorrhaging hundreds of millions of pounds in entry fees.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are worried that the royal family and taxpayers will target their luxurious lifestyles next.

The insider claimed that Princess Beatrice told her friends that she could be on the chopping block just like her younger sister. Princess Beatrice currently resides in an apartment in St. James Palace in London. Princess Eugenie, on the other hand, lives in Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace.

According to the source, Princess Beatrice's biggest fear is that they would have to move to the Windsor Lodge with their parents. After all, they are not core parts of The Firm and are not fully-funded by the royal family and taxpayers.

“It’s all a bit ‘poor me’ — obviously — but don’t forget palace life in London is all she knows,” the source said.

However, Gossip Cop corrected the claims made by the tabloid. The publication said that it is unlikely for Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to be evicted from their homes because of financial issues. After all, the royal siblings aren’t the ones causing the problem.

And even though it is true that the royal family is losing money due to the coronavirus outbreak, it is unlikely that they are becoming poor. As such, it wouldn’t make sense for them to evict Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters.

The publication acknowledged the fact that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are minor members of the royal family. However, there is no reason for the tabloid to single them out.

There are also other minor royals living in the other royal palaces in the United Kingdom. As such, if the sisters will be evicted, so should they.

Prince Andrew, Ferguson, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie also made headlines this week after they posed for a rare family photo.

The Yorks are celebrating International Family Day and Ferguson commemorated the occasion with the adorable snap. The Duchess of York shared the picture on her Instagram account.
