Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie reportedly resented the preferential treatment that Kate Middleton has been receiving ever since she joined the royal family.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters are blood princesses because they are born royal. Middleton, on the other hand, became a royal only after she and Prince William tied the knot.

According to a royal insider, Middleton and Queen Elizabeth’s solo engagement for the Diamond Jubilee hurt Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The royal siblings also felt snubbed at that time.

In an article for Daily Mail, reporter Catherine Ostler also said that the Queen has pushed out Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie away from the spotlight in favor of Middleton, Prince William, and their children.

Four years ago, a photo of the Duchess of Cambridge walking alone in front of the royal siblings made headlines.

“The three women weren’t walking together, gossiping companionably, as you might imagine, say, Zara Phillips, Beatrice and Eugenie might have done. More than that, the princesses were giving the duchess what would appear to be some rather chilly looks,” Ostler said.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles also had a complicated relationship with Sarah Ferguson. Years ago, Fergie reportedly played a prank on Prince Charles and Princess Diana that did not sit well with the royal couple.

In the Amazon Prime documentary “Royalty Close Up: The Photography of Kent Gavin,” he recalled the time when Fergie knocked Princess Diana’s skis and the latter fell over. The incident reportedly upset Prince Charles.

Years later, Prince William and Middleton decided to not invite the Duchess of York to their royal wedding.

According to Ostler, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie think that it is small-minded for Prince William to snub Fergie from his wedding in 2011. Prince William also snubbed Princess Beatrice’s then-boyfriend, Dave Clark from his wedding to Middleton.

A source told Daily Mail in 2015 that Prince William wasn’t a fan of Clark even though he introduced him to Princess Beatrice.

The Duke of Cambridge worried that Clark would abuse his trust because he is indiscreet. The insider went on to say that if Queen Elizabeth asked Prince William about Clark, he wouldn’t have positive things to say about him.

“Dave is a nice guy and he makes Beatrice happy, which is important. But William has always been wary of him. There is a clash of personalities,” the source said.

Princess Beatrice and Clark split in 2016.
