The global coronavirus pandemic continues to rage unabated, but that hasn’t stopped people from trying to try to keep a sense of normalcy even as they continue to live their lives under lockdown. This includes celebrities like Brad Pitt, who is trying to make the upcoming birthday of his daughter a special one.

The Mirror reports that Pitt and his estranged wife Angelina Jolie are both working together to make their daughter Shiloh’s 14th birthday on May 27 a fun one since she will be celebrating it in lockdown, thanks to the still ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Mirror also hints that the “special” party might also have been spurred by Shiloh being allegedly denied the right to call Jennifer Aniston “mommy” after she and Pitt reportedly restarted their relationship.

Hollywood Life quotes a source that said Shiloh’s original wish of having a party with friends had to be scrapped because the lockdown made it impossible. Aside from breakfast with Pitt and dinner with Jolie, a party is supposedly going to held with Shiloh’s five siblings, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Vivienne, and Knox.

The source also says that Pitt wants the day to be special as he wants his children to have as much fun as possible even with lockdown orders in place. The actor is supposedly preparing a lot for the upcoming party and is hoping his children will want to celebrate it with him.

Throughout most of the lockdown, Pitt’s children have been spending it with their mother, Angelina Jolie. While in lockdown, the six children have reportedly been mostly preoccupied by their schoolwork or are watching movies. Jolie has also been keeping them busy with activities like board games, instruments, and language lessons to keep them busy.

Shiloh probably won’t be the last person to celebrate their birthday under lockdown, as there seems to be no stopping the spread of COVID-19. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s update for May 12 put the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States at 1,342,594 people. Of that total, 18,106 are new cases. The United States has seen 80,820 people die from COVID-19, with 4,361 of that total being new deaths.

Worldwide, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is at 4,088,848 people, according to the May 12 status report from the World Health Organization. New cases make up 82,591 of that global total. Around the world, there are now 283,153 people that have died because of COVID-19. Of that total, 4,361 are new deaths.
