All American recently wrapped up its third season, with the finale titled “Surviving the Times”. The episode left a massive cliffhanger, jeopardizing the fate of one of the characters. Coop’s (Bre-Z) life is particularly on the line and it is uncertain whether she’ll make it out alive in the next installment.

In the season 3 finale of All American, it was revealed that Mo (Erica Peeples) has been long planning for Coop’s downfall and get her busted for drug possession. The latter wasn’t aware of this plan that’s why she goes on to visit her the night her tour bus had been stopped and searched by the DEA.

When the two come face to face, Mo raised a gun, ready to shoot Coop. Still, the latter tried to convince her that avenging her brother, Tyrone (Demetrius Shipp Jr.), will only give her more heartbreak. Then, Mo lowered the gun and Coop asked if they’re good now.

However, Mo raised her gun at Coop again. Preach (Kareem J. Grimes) showed up to shoot Mo from behind and thought the latter was saved. But then, Coop revealed that she was shot in the abdomen. The episode ended with Preach doing his best to keep her conscious and save her.

When All American returns, Coop’s storyline is going to be a major focus. Her current situation could also bring complications to some characters, especially for Spencer (Daniel Ezra). The two have formed a very close bond over the past years.

Coop has been there for Spencer, and without her, he may have a hard time figuring out his next move. The good thing is that there is no confirmation Bre-Z is leaving the sports drama. Since the third season has just recently concluded, more details will be unveiled later on.

Aside from Coop’s storyline, All American season 4 will likely explore other interesting plots involving several characters. For instance, Asher (Cody Christian) and Layla’s (Greta Onieogou) relationship isn’t smooth sailing and things between them aren’t great, as well.

Meanwhile, The CW renewed the series for season 4 a few weeks after the third season was released. Created by April Blair, the sports drama is inspired by the life of professional football player, Spencer Paysinger, with Daniel Ezra playing the lead role.

All American is set to return with its fourth season on October 25, 2021, on The CW.
