‘Cobra Kai’ Season 4 Spoilers: How Sam, Tory’s Rivalry Play Out In Next Chapter?
The rivalry between Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser) and Tory Nichols (Peyton List) will continue to play out in the upcoming Cobra Kai season 4.
The production of Cobra Kai season 4 has already wrapped up a couple of months ago. However, viewers of the martial arts comedy-drama may still need to wait for a little while since other works needed to be done. Despite that, fans have been getting updates on what’s coming next in the story.
In the next installment, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) will team up to take down the new Cobra Kai. But, apart from this battle, the series will also focus on other storylines featuring certain characters.
For instance, the fight between Sam and Tory further escalates in the fourth season. Daniel’s daughter hadn’t been on good terms with the latter, and their conflict was highlighted in a school fight in the season 2 finale. At the end of season 3, their situation becomes more complicated.
The rivalry between Sam and Tory is still part of Cobra Kai season 4. In fact, co-creator Jon Hurwitz has something to say about this subject. Speaking to a recent interview with Deadline, he said that the “rivalry is a fresh one that certainly cuts to the core for both of them.”
Hurwitz added that they wanted viewers to see how this fight plays out because “there’s certainly no love lost between those two at the end of Season 3 and there’s a lot more between them going forward.” He further teased that the next installment is a very special one for both characters.
Tory’s storyline, in particular, is one of the interesting parts that should be explored in Cobra Kai season 4. She has done a lot of things and there’s a question on how she’ll be redeemed. While redemption has been part of the narrative, the process won’t be an easy one.
The rivalry between Sam and Tory started when the former gets jealous that the latter is dating her ex-boyfriend, Miguel (Xolo Maridueña). Then, a war erupted when Sam kissed Miguel, prompting Tory to go violent in order to get revenge.
The rivalry has been a significant part of seasons 2 and 3, and it’ll further cause chaos in the next chapter. The situation is similar to Daniel and Lawrence’s rivalry which also began with a love triangle, leading to violence. It would be interesting to see where things could go this time around.
Cobra Kai season 4 is slated to premiere sometime this 2021 on Netflix.
