There was a time when several people wondered whether George Clooney has become a confirmed bachelor or not after his first unsuccessful marriage. However, things changed for him after he got married to Amal and became a father of two adorable twins.

The actor-producer was married for four years to Talia Balsam but their marriage did not last for long. He had confessed: I was married in 1989. I wasn’t very good at it.”

Clooney even revealed that he was even quoted by some saying that he will not get married again. The actor kept repeating that he will “never get married again or have children” but people refused to believe him.

However, the entry of Amal Clooney in his life changed his views on marriage. The accomplished 42-year-old graduate from Oxford left a deep impression on the two-time Oscar award-winning actor. The duo got married after dating for just four months.

The couple is happily married for six years now and is parents to their three-year-old twins Alexander and Ella. It is now perhaps tough for the 59-year-old actor to even imagine that he had different opinions on marriage and fatherhood some years ago.

Also, it is difficult to believe that Clooney was a dedicated bachelor just a few years ago. There have been reports on how he suffered from loneliness and insomnia in his plush six-bedroom home at Studio City after becoming a single.

In Sep. 2017, the actor told The Hollywood Reporter that all “that seems like a lifetime ago.” George Clooney also mentioned: “Now my house is filled with the warm sounds of babies crying.”

He revealed that when his friends find him changing diapers, they start teasing and making fun of him. However, the actor accepts their jokes graciously because he thinks he deserves “every bit of it.”

The “Suburbicon” producer initially thought Amal and he is just good friends. Clooney also thought that his wife “was beautiful” and “funny and obviously smart.”

However, instead of asking for her number, the actor-director had initially taken her email to get some photos she had clicked at his property. At that point, he thought that they were just good buddies.

Matt Damon had told E! News that “once he met [Amal], everything changed” for him. The actor says that he was not surprised when Clooney revealed that he and his wife would be welcoming their twin babies even before their third anniversary.

Damon said: "I'm extremely happy for them but once he met her, I had a feeling that was in the cards." So, even though George Clooney had perhaps not thought of becoming a father to babies in his fifties, he is thrilled for sure.
