Queen Elizabeth couldn’t help but feel betrayed, violated, and paranoid after learning the one of her trusted palace staff stole from her.

In its Dec. 28 issue, Star claimed that the queen was shaken up following Adamo Canto’s arrest.

Canto worked as a catering assistant at Buckingham Palace for five years. And he had access to all the private areas of the palace.

On Nov. 30, Canto pleaded guilty to stealing over $200,000 worth of keepsakes from the queen.

“The queen can’t believe what he did. It’s the ultimate betrayal, and she feels violated,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that the queen is finding it difficult to trust her staff after what happened.

And Her Majesty is also becoming increasingly paranoid that at least one of her 400 palace staff must have done the same thing to her.

According to the source, royal fans would pay a fortune just to know what goes on within the palace walls. So, the queen is worried that another spy in the palace could take advantage of her.

Now, all the queen’s new staff would have to subject to a background check. And the royal family is thinking about installing additional metal detectors, security cameras, and alarm systems to make sure that the incident cannot happen again.

According to reports, Canto sold some of the queen’s keepsakes on eBay at a much lower price compared to their real value.

He also recorded videos and took photos of himself while roaming around the palace.

Since he’s one of the queen’s trusted aides, he wasn’t closely monitored by the monarch’s security officers.

According to the BBC, Canto stole a significant quantity of items from the queen including signed photos of Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry.

He also stole a Companion of Bath medal, which was owned by the Master of the Household, Vice Admiral Master Tony Johnstone.

In his statement, Johnstone said that he realized the medal was missing because he wanted to wear it to the Trooping the Colour.

Canto also stole a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order medal from British Army officer Maj Gen Richard Sykes, which was given to him by the queen in 2010.

Additionally, the culprit also stole Donald Trump’s state banquet photo album following his visit to the United Kingdom.

Canto has, reportedly, been released on conditional bail, but he was also warned that he is facing a possible jail sentence.
