While the ongoing pandemic has changed a lot of things in the entertainment industry, Chris Harrison believes that there is something about The Bachelor franchise, including The Bachelorette, that is going to be changed forever.

In an interview with ET, the 49-year-old television show host opened up with Lauren Zima and said that there are certain things about the franchise amid quarantine that has been changed for good. The host reflected on Tell All of the franchise and noted that there are nine men on the show, which was almost fifty percent of the total number of participants every season.

The show was filmed without an audience, while every participant was not allowed to leave their seat but Riley. Harrison said that this is something that worked really well for the show, and it is something that should be continued in the upcoming seasons.

However, the host said that he missed having a live audience. He explained that having a live audience creates a vibe, which is extremely important for the show. Audience members in the studio have a lot of energy that is essential for running a show.

But I like the intimacy [of] having a few heavy hitters on the couch really having to face each other in this arena. It made it more honest it made it more open. You're hearing from the people that were really there when it mattered," he explained.

While the Dec. 15's episode showcased The Bachelorette's hometown dates, it was not filmed at every man's hometown in real. In fact, Tayshia Adams' final four contestants were called at the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs along with their family.

The host admitted that he isn't really into the hometowns, but in the case of Mohammed, it was interesting to bring the mountain to him. He noted that the level of intimacy when the families arrived was different. However, it is something that might change in the future.

Harrison further explained that most of the things are under the circumstances as a new Bachelor, Matt James was supposed to join the show in June, but due to pandemic, it was delayed. He noted that it was difficult for the creators to cast someone from a different location. Moreover, the host said that once the pandemic is over, the first thing everyone is going to do is travel.
