It is strange how an innocent acquaintance can also be regarded as a relationship rumor in Hollywood. Rumors started when Cruise was seen sitting next to Michelle Dockery while attending the British Fashion Awards last December.

A magazine reported that it was not a coincidence that they sat next to each other at the award ceremony. It seems the Top Gun actor left no stones unturned to manipulate the seating arrangement. 

The report also accused that the actor thought they could start dating after getting to know each other at the ceremony. Not only this, the report further insinuated that the actor wanted to hook up with the actress for several months. 

It was interesting to note how the British actress seemed to be the chosen one for the Mission Impossible actor immediately after he split from Katie Holmes in 2012. However, it was also written that there was no progress in their relationship despite the actor believing that she was the right woman for him. 

The article also portrayed Cruise as a patient man who wanted to be first a close friend to Dockery before taking their relationship to another level. The Gentlemen actress was, reportedly, apprehensive to date Cruise as he was a strong believer in the Church of Scientology. 

The report is funny as the English actress and Jasper Waller-Bridge have been an item since last year, according to Daily Mail. The pair were first introduced by their mutual friends and appeared very much in love. That also means the timeline of the report is overlapping with their romancing period. 

There is no truth in the story that Tom Cruise pursued the actress. Neither did he manipulate to sit next to her at the said fashion show contrary to what the report suggested, according to Gossip Cop. Just because two celebrities sat next to each other does not mean they are interested in each other. 

In other news, reports insisted that Bella Kidman Cruise, Cruise’s adopted daughter, did not want to live in his plush penthouse in London. She prefers to live in her three-bedroom home in Croydon with Max Parker, her husband.
