Kelly Clarkson’s divorce has become a big headliner since it was revealed that the once cordial ex-couple Clarkson and ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, are now waging war with the custody of their children and marital alimony.

During the revelation of the country singer’s amicable split with her 7-year husband and son of her former manager Brandon Blackstock, the two kept their divorce genial.

Recently though, it is a different story. Blackstock has since filed cases against Kelly Clarkson and her team, claiming that the ‘Since U Been Gone’ singer $1.4 million in unpaid commissions.

Furthermore, Blackstock also has laid claims that Clarkson should pay him $436,000 a month in child and spousal support, totaling to around $5 million in a year.

This claim has taken Clarkson aback, and claims have surfaced that Clarkson’s legal team has branded the Blackstock as a ‘gold-digger.’

The ‘Kelly Clarkson’ TV host opened up about her divorce several times in her show, expressing her grief regarding the split and how hard it is.

Blackstock and Clarkson share four kids together. Two of these children are from Blackstock’s former relationship. The other two children are biologically his and Clarkson.

Kelly shared in her November 30 show that the process of divorce is ‘horrible’ and that she finds it hardest because of their kids being involved.

"There are so many hard parts, and the hardest for me is the kids. That's the hardest part for me. You know, I always think as women, especially we're trained—Alicia and I were talking earlier—to take it all on and you can deal with it, and you're fine. But it's your babies that you worry about."

She then continued on, saying that she has filed for primary physical custody of their two children, as Blackstock made requests that they fly back and forth from Los Angeles where they are going to school and back to their spacious Montana ranch.

The request made by Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband has been denied by the presiding judge for their divorce, citing that there is no reason to disrupt their kids’ routine in Los Angeles.

Kelly has stayed mum on the real reason behind her split with Brandon Blackstock and continues to keep it private.

She has dropped hints about them continually disagreeing on things and having a hard time seeing eye-to-eye. She also denied claims that there was a third party involved in their divorce.
