Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, are allegedly facing a major blow to their relationship.

In its December 14 issue, New Idea claimed that Sophie must have been shocked and hurt after hearing the comments made by Prince Edward’s ex-girlfriend, Ruthie Henshall.

Henshall appeared in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here recently. And in one of the scenes, she told her co-star that she and Prince Edward used to have sex at Buckingham Palace.

Even though their relationship ended in the 90s, the tabloid still claimed that Henshall’s comment must have hurt Sophie.

Following her stint in the Australian reality TV show, Henshall apologized for detailing her intimate moments with Prince Edward.

She said that she didn’t realize that her lapel was turned at that time.

By the looks of it, the tabloid is just stirring the pot and making issues where there are none.

After all, Sophie and Prince Edward never reacted to Henshall’s recent comments.

And the fact that New Idea’s headline claimed that Prince Edward was caught out suggested that he’s having an affair with someone when he’s not.

New Idea has been making up all sorts of dubious claims about the members of the royal family.

In the same issue, their headline about Prince Harry claimed that he’s taking a break by checking himself at a rehab facility.

However, their story was about Prince Harry’s struggles, and they recommended that the Duke of Sussex attend a health and yoga retreat.

In its December 7 issue, the same tabloid claimed that Kate Middleton ended her two-year feud with Meghan Markle after learning about the latter’s miscarriage.

An unnamed source told the tabloid that Middleton called Markle on the phone to sympathize with her after learning that the Duchess of Sussex lost her unborn child.

However, the tabloid couldn’t have been correct because it is not true that Middleton and Markle feuded with each other.

And there is also no way for a tabloid to know whether Middleton phoned Markle after learning about her miscarriage or not.

Meanwhile, Now to Love also claimed last June that Prince Edward’s wife was caught between Markle and Middleton.

A source claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge didn’t like how Sophie seemed friendly towards Markle after the latter announced her decision to quit The Firm.

Unfortunately, none of these claims are accurate. What Sophie said back then was that she and the royal family try their best to make new members feel welcome.
