Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were recently criticized by Republic CEO, Graham Smith.

During his conversation with Express, Smith said that it’s only a matter of time before the public loses their interest in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Smith said that this is going to be a huge problem for Prince Harry and Markle because they always want to be in the spotlight.

However, following their Megxit, it’s highly likely for the public to lose their interest in the couple because they don’t have anything else to offer.

Smith added that the one thing that made the Duke and Duchess of Sussex popular was their status as members of the royal family.

However, they decided in January that they no longer wanted to be tied down by the royal rules and protocols.

The downside to their decision, according to Smith, is that Prince Harry and Markle will no longer be popular in the coming years. And no one knows what they could possibly do to stay in the spotlight.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are seemingly already thinking of ways to stay relevant now that they are no longer senior working royals.

According to The Sun, the couple will launch a set of awards that will rival Queen Elizabeth’s honors list.

The publication revealed that Prince Harry and Markle will award charities, companies, and individuals who have championed their favorite causes.

And the couple’s awards will run alongside the monarch’s gongs, which includes Knighthoods, CBEs, OBEs, and MBEs.

Prince Harry and Markle’s awards will be run by the Archewell Foundation.

Additionally, Prince Harry and Markle will also try to stay relevant by making an appearance in the Ellen Show.

According to The News, there are talks that Prince Harry and Markle could be interviewed by Ellen DeGeneres.

And if they appear on the show, they will, reportedly, talk about their life in Santa Barbara, as well as the adjustments that they had to face since they moved from the United Kingdom.

DeGeneres and Markle have met years ago. Just before Prince Harry and Markle tied the knot, the comedian revealed that she was the one that encouraged the Suits alum to adopt one of her dogs.

Markle and DeGeneres crossed paths at an animal shelter in Los Angeles. While there, the funny woman saw Markle playing with a rescue dog and she urged the former actress to bring the mutt home.
