Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were recently slammed for, allegedly, not telling Queen Elizabeth that they have rented out Frogmore Cottage to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.

But according to Gossip Cop, this couldn’t have possibly been the case.

After all, Frogmore Cottage is own by the Crown. And this means that the property is owned by Her Majesty even though she gave it to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as a wedding gift.

The rumor-debunking site said that since the queen still, technically, owns Frogmore Cottage, Prince Harry and Markle must have informed her beforehand regarding their arrangement with the Brooksbanks.

After all, if the Sussexes didn’t inform the queen and they left her blindsided by the arrangement, the monarch could, reportedly, just throw Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank out of the property if she pleases.

Gossip Cop also debunked Globe’s recent claim that Prince Harry and Markle snuck out of Frogmore Cottage very late one night to hand over the property to Princess Eugenie.

They pointed out that Prince Harry and Markle have not been staying at Frogmore Cottage since several months ago.

In fact, the couple has been living in Santa Barbara, where they purchased an over $14 million property.

Additionally, the rumor-debunking site also slammed the tabloid’s claims that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will never return to the United Kingdom.

After all, they already gave Frogmore Cottage to Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank.

More reputable sources revealed last week that Prince Harry and Markle offered the property to Princess Eugenie because she will give birth soon.

And the Sussexes will share the property with the couple whenever they are in the United Kingdom.

This proves that Prince Harry and Markle still have plans to return home. However, they won’t be able to travel back to the United Kingdom anytime soon due to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, there’s a new controversy surrounding Prince Harry and Markle’s arrangements with Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank.

Express recently asked their readers if they think it’s right for the couple to ask the Brooksbanks rent and most of the respondents said no.

Some of the respondents also gave suggestions on where they think the rent money should go.

They said that the money should be given to charities because it’s not for sale.

Others also said that if Prince Harry and Markle cannot sustain the cost of keeping Frogmore Cottage, they should just give it back to the queen.
