Prince Harry has allegedly purchased a bachelor’s pad in Cotswold so that he has a backup plan if things don’t work out between him and Meghan Markle.

Last month, New Idea claimed that the Duke of Sussex is distraught over not being in the United Kingdom while his family is dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

A source claimed that Prince Harry wants to return home but his wife has not allowed him to. As such, Archie’s dad is left with no other choice but to come up with an escape plan.

“These past few weeks have brought it home to Harry that he needs a backup plan, in case things don’t work out in America with Meghan and he needs to reinvent himself on his own. The main attraction here is that he now has somewhere to fall back on if he decides to give up on this highly stressful new life he’s dealing with in America,” an unnamed source told the tabloid.

Gossip Cop debunked the claims made by the tabloid and they also mocked the published storyline. They said that the way the story is written suggests that Prince Harry is already planning on divorcing Markle and leaving their son with her for his bachelor’s pad.

However, there are two huge issues with the dubious story. First, Prince Harry and Markle are not divorcing. And the Duke of Sussex has not confirmed the reports that he purchased a property in Cotswolds.

More reliable sources recently reported that Prince Harry and Markle are scouting for their permanent home in Los Angeles. As such, there is no reason for Prince Harry to buy a property right now.

If the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decide to visit the royal family in the coming months, they have more than enough accommodation options to choose from.

The royal couple still owns Frogmore Cottage. However, they are now responsible for paying their bills. Since they are no longer considered as working royals, British taxpayers will no longer pay for some of their needs.

Earlier this year, royal commentator Omid Scobie tweeted about Prince Harry and Markle’s living arrangements in the United Kingdom.

“Queen has made it clear that Frogmore will remain their UK home (they’ll meet running costs privately),” he tweeted.

In March, Prince Harry and Markle stayed at Frogmore Cottage when they returned to the UK for their final engagements.
