The Royal Firm has been a long-standing institution in Britain's history. The great Kings and Queens of the British empire have been well protected throughout time, although there were some interesting break-ins in the royal palaces in recent history.

One of the most famous ‘trespasser’ incidents was with Michael Fagan. The intruder, Fagan, was able to get into Buckingham Palace in a bid to see the Queen, and he was able to do it twice.

This incident was depicted in Netflix’s ‘The Crown,’ and apparently, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was not happy about the story of the intruder.

Tabloid Woman’s Day claims that the Duchess of Cambridge has requested to increase security in their Kensington home. Kate and Prince William share three kids together, Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 2. The Duchess is said to be ‘deadly afraid’ of any intruder breaking-in into their home.

An insider revealed that Kate, who will be the future Queen Consort of the British Monarchy, does not want history repeating itself.

“She is worried about someone getting ideas about this, and she does not want history repeating itself. She is asking to up the amount of royal protection officers surrounding her family for the time being,” the palace source shares.

The story of Michael Fagan is more popular in the U.K. than it is in the U.S., and the portrayal of the show has got some Americans interested in the security system of the Royal Palaces.

After the incident with Fagan’s intrusion and the calm talk he had with the Queen, the British Parliament has since been stricter with the security of the royals.

Gossipcop has reported that Woman’s Day’s claims with Kate wanting to ‘up’ the amount of royal protection Kensington Palace is false.

Furthermore, Kensington has one of the best security systems in the world. As of right now, the palace houses several Royal Families in the different ‘apartments’ of the estate.

The break-in of Michael Fagan has been a solitary incident and has not been repeated ever since. The Queen’s handling of the situation was also to be praised for as she kept a calm and collected manner in talking to Fagan.

The Royal Family has been scrutinized for their security budget by the Britons, and they have often cut down security in the past. It is improbable that any intruders will try to commit a crime as times have changed for Britain and the royals.
