Machine Gun Kelly revealed that he started to go for therapy. Yes, the 30-year-old rapper said that he had been known by his stage name since he was a teenager while his real name is Colson Baker. The rapper admitted that he had fallen in love with Megan Fox, and she is the one who inspired him to begin his therapy to cure drug addiction.

However, he disclosed that his stage name had a certain amount of impact on his personality as he took some energy from that name. In an interview with Dave Franco, the rapper said that he had witnessed the benefits and setbacks of drugs.

"I think I watched myself believe that drugs were how you attained a level or unlocked something in your brain, and I've seen the pros and cons of it," he explained. Gun Kelly further explained that he started to use Adderall, and it turned out to be a huge thing for him.

He confessed that initially, he used to consume it orally, but later, he started to snort it. In fact, the drug's impact was so powerful that he was scared to step into the studio without consuming it. He revealed how he used to stay locked up unless the medicine person used to visit him and provide him what he wanted at that time.

The rapper said that this was when the problem began when he started to think that he won't be able to work without having the drug in his body. Moreover, he said that if a pill had helped him create an album or write songs, anyone would have taken the same pill to make albums or write, which eventually stopped him from producing more output.

The Midnight in the Switchgrass star further said that he became rebellious as a teenager because his father was extremely strict and religious. The musician shared a heartbreaking post when his father passed away in July.

The rapper recalled that his father didn't allow him to hold the pen the way he wanted to, and that turned him into a complete rebel, and stopped having any communication with him. Moreover, he said that he didn't want to develop any common thing between him and his father. Gun Kelly addressed his daughter, Casie, and said that he doesn't want to have a similar relationship with her.
