Nicole Kidman is busy with her acting career and also being a mother to her two daughters. The talented actress shares what it was like to grow up in a family with a modest background.

Kidman recently took to her Instagram page and shared her first impressions about her co-star and on-screen husband, Hugh Grant. She called him “crazy funny.” On the other hand, Grant praised her by calling her a lovely woman, crazy yet optimist, hot, and a genius actress.

The duo was promoting their drama series, The Undoing, which is being aired on HBO. Kidman also mentioned that the moment she started reading the script, she felt like asking for “more.”

Today, she is one of Hollywood’s most popular stars, but there was a time when her family suffered from great poverty. The Eyes Wide Shut actress was at her candid best when she said that she was grateful for whatever she had as there was so little with her while she was younger. 

The 53-year-old actress further shared that the family had almost nothing when they relocated to the United States. His parents managed to get hold of a donated mattress where all of them slept. She remembers her parents struggling when her dad was pursuing his Ph.D. course. 

She fondly recounts how her father treated his patients free of cost when they did not have money to pay him. Kidman feels his father was a kind and gentle soul while her mom was a nurse. 

Kidman stated that her husband, Keith Urban, also struggled a lot because of his difficult childhood. She called him a “self-made” man who became famous through his own hard work, according to a report by Hello! Magazine

Nicole Kidman also mentioned that her mom had been diagnosed with breast cancer when she was only 17-year-old. She was the eldest child and took care of her ailing mother during that time. 

Meanwhile, the actress has been honest about her relationship with the country crooner. While 2020 has been a year full of uncertainties and sorrow, Kidman revealed how her husband is instrumental in her happiness. 

 Kidman mentioned that she has a great relationship with her husband, Urban. Home is a comfortable and relaxed place because she knows how strong and kind-hearted the country music star is.
