Meghan Markle’s fans are convinced they know why Queen Elizabeth didn’t stop the Duchess of Sussex from quitting The Firm with Prince Harry.

A video from Markle and the queen’s first and last solo engagement has been making rounds on Twitter recently.

Fans of the Duchess of Sussex shared clips of the queen greeting supporters of the British monarchy. But when they handed the monarch flowers, fans made it clear that it was meant for Markle, who was greeting fans a few feet away.

Several videos also showed the queen still accepting the flowers but passing it on to other members of the royal family like Prince Charles and Camilla.

On Twitter, fans of the Duchess of Sussex threw shade at the queen by accusing her of allowing Markle and Prince Harry to quit because she felt overshadowed by them.

One royal fan also said that the queen saw how popular Markle was and figured that keeping her means she would become less and less popular in their eyes.

Another royal fan claimed that the queen didn’t seem thrilled to be holding on to flowers that aren’t meant for her.

However, it is important to note that these claims are based solely on Markle’s fan’s personal thoughts.

If the queen feels overshadowed by Prince Harry and Markle or is jealous of the Duchess of Sussex’s popularity, she wouldn’t have kept the doors open for their return.

Following their Megxit, the queen released a statement saying that she will review the terms of the couple’s departure after 12 months.

This means that there’s a possibility for royal fans to see Prince Harry and Markle back in the royal fold again if they so desire.

Meanwhile, Republic CEO Graham Smith told Express that the royal family should brace themselves for a difficult decade after losing Prince Harry, Markle, and Prince Andrew.

Smith said that what’s left are Prince Charles, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and the queen.

However, Prince Charles doesn’t reportedly have the same warmth and support that the Cambridges have.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams couldn’t disagree more with Smith.

He also questioned why the Republic CEO didn’t mention Camilla Parker Bowles, who has been a great source of support and strength for Prince Charles.

Fitzwilliams also believes that Princess Anne is another frontrunner because she’s been carrying out royal duties on behalf of the queen without much fuss.

Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex have also been doing the same.
