Christina Perri opened up about her pregnancy loss following her announcement of delivering the baby girl early. The 34-year-old singer took Instagram to reveal that she and her husband, Paul Costabile, was expecting their daughter, but they lost her last night.

A couple of days back, the singer revealed that her baby would require to go under surgery following her birth as there is an issue with her intestines. The couple already shares a daughter together, Carmella Stanley Costabile, who is two-year-old.

The tonight you belong to me star was rushed to the hospital earlier this month after she noted pregnancy complications. After getting hospitalized, the singer admitted that nothing happens as per the plan and disclosed that her unborn baby is going through some medical issues because of which she has to remain in the hospital till she delivers the little one.

"Please send some love from your heart to the little heart beating in me that we all make it through this. I'm grateful for Drs and nurses and will do whatever they suggest we do," she wrote on her Instagram story.

The singer updated her fans and followers with the tragic news that the couple lost their newborn daughter. She revealed that the baby girl was "born silent" after battling against all odds to enter this world. However, Perri noted that the baby is at peace now, and she will forever live in our hearts.

This is not the first time Perri has gone through a tragic situation as the singer had previously suffered a miscarriage. The singer shared a picture of her husband and the baby girl's finger on her Instagram. Following her first miscarriage in January, Perri took time to celebrate her current pregnancy by clicking some maternity photos. At that time, the singer said that she never wanted to shoot her maternity period, but her first miscarriage changed her perspective. However, after the recent pregnancy loss, Costabile also took his Instagram and confessed that it had been a rough week for them.

Although he thanked everyone for pouring prayers and love, while the singer suffered from complications during her pregnancy, she kept everyone updated through social media. She also mentioned Jejunal atresia, which is a birth defect the musician faced in her third trimester.
