No matter what Ellen DeGeneres says these days, it seems to backfire. Yes, the 62-year-old comedian and host of popular daytime talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently thanked his fans, staff, and crew members at the event, hosted by singer and actress Demi Lovato.

The comedian accepted the award for Best Daytime Talk Show on Nov. 15 amid the battle against toxic workplace environment claims. She thanked everyone from the stage in California at Santa Monica, addressing a virtual audience.

While the comedian has been allegedly accused of being mean and racist towards her staff, she gave credit to her amazing staff and crew for making this show possible. She further said how much she loves her staff members and wants to thank them.

She appreciated them for the help they provide daily, which eventually helps them produce a successful show. DeGeneres also thanked People for the award and her fans, who voted for her and showed support.

"I cannot tell you how grateful I am and what this means to me. It's more than I can possibly tell you," she noted the ongoing behind the scene investigation on the sets of her talk show. Although the host has previously apologized, issuing a letter to the crew and staff members following an internal investigation was held by WarnerMedia, a parent company for the show.

A bunch of workers informed the investigation officials that there is intimidation, fear, and racism on the show. After the allegations, three executive producers were removed from their positions, and later, DeGeneres said that she was unaware of those executive producers' behavior towards the employees.

However, along with the WarnerMedia company, she is committed to ensuring that the work environment is equal for everyone. Since the series of allegations were put on the show and the host, the victory at the People's choice award delivered a completely different story. Many insiders believed that people might not vote for the host after the investigation, but it seems things are getting back to normal for the comedian.

Besides Degeneres, there are many celebrities who took the award home, such as Tracee Ellis Ross for Fashion Icon Award, Jennifer Lopez for People's Icon of 2020, Blake Shelton for Country artist, Ellen Pompeo in Grey's Anatomy for Female TV star of 2020, and Jimmy Fallon in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for Nighttime Talkshow of 2020.
