Kendall Jenner has been battling acne since she was 14-years, and her acne-prone skin has been one of the model's biggest insecurities. She thought she had found a skincare routine that would help her maintained a clear complexion, but regrettably, she continued having brutal breakouts every once in a while.

Kendall made some minor changes in her daily routine to ensure the breakouts become less recurring. Much to her fans' delight, the 25-year-old model opened up about her new routine in a video for Vogue.

Unlike her sisters, Kendall had to work hard for a clear complexion. As a teen, she struggled with brutal breakouts, and the problem persisted even in her adult life. Regardless of what she did, she was unable to stop her acne from reappearing now and then, and as a result, she became insecure about the way her skin looked.

She told Bustle last year that she experienced acne while she was in high school, making it hard for her to be accepted and be part of something. In her interview, Kendall admitted that she hesitated to look people in the eye when she spoke to them.

The next time she struggled with acne was when she became a model and lived up to everyone's expectations of having everything together. She said that the whole world is looking at you; everything you do and everything that happens to you is no secret either when you are a model.

Rather than allowing this problem to control her life, Kendall decided to deal head-on with her insecurity. Last year, Proactiv approached Jenner to collaborate with them after seeing her acne struggles were being targeted in the media.

She wasn't sure about using their product initially but decided to give the brand a try and immediately saw results. She continued using the Proactiv products for a year until her skin issues went away.

Although using Proactiv products helped her treat her skin issues, Kendall said she still battled some small breakouts once in a while. Her skin tends to act up a bit more during Fashion Month because she has to wear all the makeup, but she found that her skin would still breakout even when she isn't working.

She gave her fans a glimpse of her skincare routine in a Vogue video on Thursday. She even joked about her sister Kylie taking more time to get ready, despite her elaborate regime, DailyMail reported.

In the video, Jenner said she began thinking about her diet and stopped having dairy products, except for cheese. Aside from that, she revealed that she has been drinking a lot of water.
