Eva Longoria admitted that she, by mistake, dismissed Black women voters, to glorify and praise Latin Voters. The incident happened when the 45-year-old actress appeared on MSNBC on Nov. 8, and the host asked about the voters' contribution to elect Joe Biden as President.

The Dora and the Lost City of Gold star said that women of color have come out to vote in the majority this time. She noted that in Georgia, Black women came out to cast their vote but the real heroines are the Latina women as they beat every man in every country.

Longoria also said that Latina women turnout the game of voting as, on average, there were three women compared to one man. The remark didn't go well with the viewers of the show and they immediately backlashed at the actress.

People took social media to show their disappointment with the actress and said that she dismissed the efforts made by the Black community. The netizens also noted that president Joe Biden himself praised and thanked the efforts made by Black women.

There were many other tweets that furiously blasted at the actress for making such unnecessary comments. After receiving backlash from fans and followers, Longoria took Twitter to apologize for the comments she made for Black women.

However, she mentioned that it upsets her that people took her words wrongly and didn't mean taking the credit away from Black women. She just wanted to praise the Latina women for coming out during the election and exercise their right to vote.

"There is such a history in our community of anti-Blackness in our community and I would never want to contribute to that, so let me be very clear," she begins to explain her statement. She further Black women have always played a vital role in the Democratic Party, which has been seen in current and previous elections.

Recently, the actress and activist appeared on Pod Is a Woman podcast and addressed the same issue with the hosts Johanna Maska, Darienne Page, and Alejandra Campoverdi. She acknowledged the harm she had caused and she admitted that she should have been careful with her words.

Longoria also said that she takes complete responsibility for the disappointment she caused to her fans and Black women. She further ensured that she would do better in the future while keeping in mind that at one point, she had caused trouble and pain to Black women with her words.
